Tamar Tatishvili, Director of Georgian National Film Center made an official announcement about the new nomination at the 4th awards ceremony of "Gala" literary competition. Introduction of this nomination will support closer relationships between cinema and literature. The nomination is a precondition for discovering interesting projects; hence, it will motivate script-writers to work in the above-mentioned direction.

Besides, it will form a foundation for cooperation between Tbilisi Assembly and Georgian National Film Center. The awards ceremony of the literary competition 2010 was held on October 22 at the Mother Tongue Square, in Tbilisi. The winners of the following 6 nominations were named: the Book of the Year, Desk Book, Translated Book, Children's Book, Book Illustration and The Best Literary Project of the Year. Each of the winners got a prize and a monetary award in the amount of 4000 GEL.
