BUDAPEST: The production of Áron Gauder’s Minden a rokonom is approaching completion. “The animation is 95 percent complete, with five minutes left in the 100-minute film. The last phase of the work process, compositing, is halfway through, and we will be done with it by the end of 2022”, producer Réka Temple told FNE.

The film is a US/Cypriot coproduction funded by the Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture and supported by the Cyprus Film Commission’s incentives scheme.

LJUBLJANA: Nejc Gazvoda’s new feature film Father Figure started shooting in his home town Novo mesto in Slovenia on 19 April 2022. The film is a coproduction between Slovenia, Czech Republic and Italy, and it is produced on the Slovenian side by Aleš Pavlin and Andrej Štritof through Perfo.
PRODUCTION: Romania/French Coproduction Metronom
BUCHAREST: Romanian director Alexandru Belc's debut feature Metronom has been selected for Cannes Un Certian Regard. The film is a teenage love story set in Romania of the 70s, when the music from Radio Free Europe was providing some kind of freedom for the youth caught up in a progressively oppressive regime. The film is a Romanian/French coproduction, produced by Catalin Mitulescu through Strada Film International in coproduction with France’s Midralgar and Romania’s Chainsaw Europe.

SOFIA: Bulgarian director Viktor Chouchkov Jr. is currently in development with War of the Letters, an ambitious 12-part period series set in the 10th century. The Bulgarian National Television (BNT) is backing with nearly 900,000 EUR the producer Midwest, which is coproducing together with Nu Boyana Film Studios.
PRODUCTION: The Witcher S3 Shoots Briefly in Croatia
ZAGREB: The third season of Netflix's series The Witcher spent one shooting day in Croatia during the last weekend, after an initial shooting in the Italian province of Bolzano and four days in Slovenia. The Croatian Audiovisual Centre secured 25% cash rebate through its programme Filming in Croatia, in collaboration with Croatian tax authorities.
