PORTOROŽ: The Slovenian/Croatian/Bosnian/Serbian coproduction Riders / Jezdeca began shooting on 19 May 2019. The road drama about two best friends in their mid-twenties is the first feature by 32-years-old Slovenian director Dominik Mencej.
PRODUCTION: Serbia Boards Move It or Lose It
TREBON: The young Serbian animation house Origin Tales will coproduce the eight-part TV series Move It or Lose It. The project was pitched by Italian director Raffaele Compagnoni and producer Feberico Riboldazzi from the Italian production company TIWI at the CEE Animation Forum, taking place during the Anifilm festival, which concluded on 12 May 2019.

TBILISI: Georgian artist/director Tatia Skhirtladze has started shooting her long documentary The Encounter with co-director Anna Khazaradze as a coproduction between Austria, Georgia and Serbia.

TBILISI: Georgian director Irakli Metreveli is in postproduction with Roma and the Camel Man, a long documentary that he shot in Georgia from 2017 to 2019. The film is produced by Nodar Nozadze through Pansionati.

TREBON: Slovakia returns to the newly expanded CEE Animation Forum, running through 8 May 2019, with the animated TV series Street Pack, which tackles a new target audience in Slovakia: teenagers.
PRODUCTION: Georgian Doc Adrift in Postproduction
TBILISI: Georgian directors Tamta and Salome Khalvashi have begun postproduction on Adrift, a feature length documentary that they shot in Georgia in 2017 and 2018. The film is produced by Zaza Khalvashi whose film Namme is considered by many Georgian film critics as a pearl of modern Georgian cinema.
