WARSAW: Sebastian Buttny is currently in postproduction with his thriller The Saint / Święty, which is set in Poznań in the 80s. The film is a coproduction between Poland and Hungary, and it is due to premiere in the spring of 2023.

BELGRADE: Serbian director Nedljko Kovačić is currently in production with his debut feature, a spy thriller melodrama titled Vera. The key role is played by Jovana Stojiljković, the most sought after Serbian and regional actress of younger generations at the moment. A TV series of 10 one-hour episodes is simultaneously being shot, supported by the Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).

TBILISI: The acclaimed Georgian director Levan Koguashvili is currently in preproduction with his feature film Guria, which is among the 15 projects selected for the 18th edition of Cannes’ L’Atelier (22-27 May 2022).

SKOPJE: Macedonian award-winning director Teona Strugar Mitevska is in development with Mother (a Possible Story of Mother Teresa), a film about Mother Teresa before she becomes Mother Teresa. Labina Mitevska is producing through North Macedonia's Sisters and Brother Mitevski Production in coproduction with Sebastien Delloye through Entre Chien et Loup from Belgium.

BUCHAREST: British-born Bucharest-based film director and writer Tom Wilson is currently in postproduction with his third feature film Dark Ages, produced by Corneliu Porumboiu’s outlet 42 Km Film in coproduction with Cinemotif Films from the Czech Republic.

LJUBLJANA: Slovenia is one of the three countries, beside Croatia and Italy, hosting the Netflix film crew shooting the third season of the hit fantasy drama series The Witcher, based on a book series by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski and starring Henry Cavill. The project is a US/Polish/Hungarian coproduction.

LJUBLJANA: Janez Burger is currently shooting the socially critical drama Observing / Opazovanje, inspired by real events. The film is a coproduction between Slovenia, Croatia, Italy and North Macedonia.

BUCHAREST: Romanian writer/director Andrei Cohn is preparing to shoot his third feature film Gefilte Fish in April 2022. The film will be produced by Anca Puiu through Romania’s Mandragora in coproduction with French Shellac films and Swiss Bord Cadre.

WARSAW: Marcin Filipowicz is currently in postproduction with Brothers / Braty, the fourth project produced by the Polish Filmmakers Association Munk Studio together with CANAL+ Polska in their 60 Minutes programme.

ZAGREB: Croatian writer/director Igor Mirković has entered postproduction with his new feature drama Sweet Simona / Slatka Simona, produced by Ivan Maloča and his company Interfilm.

BELGRADE: The acclaimed Serbian director Goran Radovanović is currently filming his new feature Erlking / Bauk, which is a coproduction between Serbia, Bulgaria and Russia, set in Serbia in 1999.

ZAGREB: Croatian director Igor Šeregi is currently filming his new TV series Metropolitans / Metropolitanci, a series of 14 episodes produced by Dario Vince through Ring produkcija for the Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT). The series is created and written by Dario Vince.

TALLINN: The Danish/Norwegian/Estonian coproduction Birthday Girl, directed by Danish Michael Noer and starring Trine Dyrholm, is currently shooting in Tallinn. The film, which will be shot entirely in Estonia, is supported by the Film Estonia cash rebate programme.

BUDAPEST: Balázs Lóth is currently in preproduction with the historical adventure film Now or Never! / Most vagy soha!, for which he received a record amount of funding of 12.2 m EUR / 4.5 billion HUF, highest since 1989, from the National Film Institute – Hungary in January 2022.

BRATISLAVA: Slovak director György Kristóf is currently in postproduction with his sophomore feature Bunker (working title). The film will use dance as cinematic language and it is a coproduction between Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic.

BELGRADE: Young Serbian film director Luka Mihailović has just wrapped up the shooting of his debut feature, the urban crime drama Indigo Crystal / Indigo Kristal, in his hometown of Šabac.
