This month we speak with Ewa Kujawińska, the Manager of Pałacowe Cinema in Poznań, Poland. Pałacowe is a studio cinema in the best sense of the word. Located in the ZAMEK Culture Centre, it has 143 seats and it is equipped with a digital projector, offering superior image and sound quality with 3D capacity.
CLUJ-NAPOCA: Nora Agapi’s independent documentary Timebox will screen in the Romanian Days at the 18th Transilvania IFF (31 May - 9 June 2019). The film was awarded best Central and Eastern European film in the Between the Seas section of the 2018 Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival.

CLUJ-NAPOCA: Mihai Mincan and Claudiu Mitcu’s documentary Emigrant Blues: a Road Movie in 2 1/2 Chapters will screen in the Romanian Days at the 18th Transilvania IFF (31 May - 9 June 2019). The film is a Romanian coproduction supported by the Romanian Film Centre.
BUCHAREST: Cristina Jacob’s teen film Oh, Ramona! was released on Netflix on 1 June 2019. The film is the first Romanian production with more than 1 m USD box office in domestic cinemas within three weeks of its release. Since its domestic release on 15 February 2019 the film has moved into third place, with 260,531 admissions.
CLUJ-NAPOCA: The Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF, 31 May - 9 June 2019) is launching the subscription video-on-demand service TIFF Unlimited on 6 June 2019. Between 60 and 80 films screened at the festival’s 17 previous editions will be on offer.
CLUJ-NAPOCA: Andrei Cohn’s sophomore feature Arrest / Arest will screen in the Romanian Days at the 18th Transilvania IFF, running through 9 June 2019. The film was also selected for the East of the West section of the 54th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (28 June – 6 July 2019).
CLUJ-NAPOCA: Gabi Virginia Şarga and Cătălin Rotaru’s debut feature Thou Shalt Not Kill will screen in the Romanian Days at the 18th Transilvania IFF, which runs through 9 June 2019. The film had its world premiere in the 1-2 Competition of the 34th Warsaw FF.
CLUJ-NAPOCA: Tudor Giurgiu’s fourth feature film Parking aka Above Man, the Woman Soars will screen in the Romanian Days at the 18th Transilvania IFF (31 May - 9 June 2019). This Romanian/Spanish/Czech coproduction is the first film Giurgiu shot outside Romania and it will open the festival as a world premiere on 31 May 2019.
CLUJ-NAPOCA: The documentary The Distance Between Me and Me by Mona Nicoară and Dana Bunescu will screen in the Romanian Days at the 18th Transilvania IFF (31 May - 9 June 2019). The film was produced by Romania’s Hi Film Productions and Sat Mic Film from the USA, in coproduction with Romanian Public Television (TVR).
