The Toronto International Film Festival is getting ready to roll out the red carpets to welcome film lovers to Toronto as the largest North American film festival from 5 to 15 September, 2024. In total, over 200 films have been programmed to be screened during the 11-day festival. 24 German productions and co-productions will be shown in Toronto.

BERLIN: A total of 17 German productions and coproductions will screen in various sections at the 81st Venice International Film Festival, which will be held 28 August – 7 September 2024.

SOFIA: The Bulgarian/German coproduction German Lessons by Pavel Vesnakov received the award for Best Feature Film at the 3rd edition of the Sveti Vlas Film Fest. Stephan Komandarev won Best Director for his Bulgarian/German coproduction Blaga's Lessons, and both films shared the accolades for actors in a leading role.

POTSDAM: Over 70 international film professionals travelled to Potsdam on 3 July 2024 for the 24th edition of German Films Previews, an annual three-day event organised by German Films since 2001.

BERLIN: Twelve German titles are the beneficiaries of the “Distribution Support” programme of German Films in the second batch for 2024. A total of 45 foreign theatrical releases received a total of 306,000 EUR.

KARLOVY VARY: A total of 21 German productions and coproductions will screen in various sections of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, whose 58th edition will be held from 28 June to 6 July 2024.
