SOFIA: Nadejda Koseva’s sophomore feature The Trap will be released in Bulgarian cinemas in October 2024 by Purple Rain. The Bulgarian/German film has recently received the Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actor Award for Alexander Trifonov at the SEE Los Angeles 2024, as well Best Director, Best Production Design and Best Lead Actor at the 3rd National Film Festival “Vasil Gendov” - Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers Awards, held on 16 Маy 2024.

SOFIA: The Bulgarian/German coproduction Blaga’s Lessons by Stephan Komandarev received the Best Feature Film Award at the closing ceremony of the third edition of the National Film Festival “Vasil Gendov” - Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers Awards, held at the National Theatre “Ivan Vazov” on 16 Маy 2024.
German Migrant Drama Starring Amanda Plummer Shot on a Croatian Island
KRK: German writer/director Uwe Boll shot his feature film Run on the Croatian island of Krk from 17 to 29 April 2024. The production benefited from the 25% cash rebate offered by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre through the Filming in Croatia programme.
Melchior: The Apothecary Trilogy, a Domestic and International Success Story
TALLINN: The first international territories where the Estonian/German/Latvian/Lithuanian trilogy Melchior: The Apothecary by Elmo Nüganen was sold by Global Screen are France, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. In Estonia the trilogy had almost 300,000 admissions.

FNE at Cannes 2024: Eleven German Productions and Coproductions Selected for 77th Cannes Film Festival
BERLIN: Germany will take part in the Official Selection and the sidebar sections of the 77th Cannes Film Festival (14 - 25 May 2024) with 11 majority and minority coproductions.
PRODUCTION: Agnieszka Holland Shoots Coproduction about Kafka
PRAGUE: The Czech/Polish/German/French film Franz directed by Agnieszka Holland is currently filming in Prague, including the area of the Old Town near Franz Kafka’s birthplace. The production in Prague started at the beginning of April 2024 and it will continue until the end of May 2024, with additional filming planned in Germany.
PRODUCTION: Stephan Komandarev Shoots Made in EU
SOFIA: The acclaimed Bulgarian director Stephan Komandarev is currently in production with his seventh feature film Made in EU, which is a coproduction between Bulgaria, Germany and the Czech Republic.
