BIAFF 2014 organized Roundtable “Regional Film Fund – Perspectives in Ajara region”, which took place on September 19, in DIVAN SUITS Hotel in Batumi. 

The major goal of this meeting was to highlight the importance of regional film fund formation for Ajara region and to get feedback from cinema industry about further perspectives and action steps needed in this direction.

Irina Surmanidze (Ministry of Culture of Adjara AR) has presented “Cinema Production Support Program”, Also Mariusz Wrobel from Silesia Film (Poland) shared his experience about Regional Film Fund/Film Commission of Silesia region to meeting’s participants.

From Sofia Film Festival, head of Sofia Meetings Mira Staleva spoke about importance of Industry Platforms at Film Festivals.

Miroljub Vučković (Serbia Film Center) shared his opinion about benefits and importance of this project.

Manager of BIAFF – Zviad Eliziani announced plans of BIAFF film festival for development of industry platform.

Discussion was held by the end of the meeting about perspectives of regional film fund in Ajara.
