For competition entries new regulations and submission guidelines apply. Effective from the 18th edition Black Nights Film Festival 2014 accepts to its International Competition feature length films produced after 15th September 2013, which have not been screened in the Baltic region as a minimum and priority will be given to films with world, international and European premieres. In line with the festival’s programming strategy, the 18th edition will focus even more on films with high artistic quality and with strong authors voice, with a few surprises waiting for the international guests and festivalgoers. This year’s focus country of the Black Nights will be Poland with dedicated screening programs, retrospectives and industry presence.
Early bird press accreditation is available until 30th September for only 35 Euros. Early Industry accreditation is available from 55 Euros through the Industry office.

Autumn in Tallinn
The dark days of autumn mean that most activities in Tallinn move to indoor venues. As an idea for an inspiring afternoon we would recommend a stroll to Tallinn’s hipster neighbourhood Kalamaja with the award winning maritime museum Seaplane Harbour. Walk through Kalamaja to reach Telliskivi creative city – a hub of creative studios, local design and vintage shops, cafes, exhibition and theatre spaces.
