Ivan Cherkelov’s Family Relics produced by Gala Film and Boris Despodov’s debut Twice Upon a Time in the West, produced by Arthouse Blockbusters were just completed. Radoslav Spassov’s The Singing Shoes, coproduced by Menclips and Dream Team Productions; Ventsislav Vasilev’s and Antoniy Donchev’s debut Snow, coproduced by Bulgarian 100 Film and the National Cinematheque of Ukraine; and The Woman of My Life, coproduced by Bulgarian Ars Ltd, Macedonia, the Kurdistan Regional Government, Iraq and Romania’s Peter Film Production, are still in postproduction.
All the films received support from the Bulgarian National Film Center. The public broadcaster Bulgarian National Television also backed Twice Upon a Time in the West in which the internationally-known Italian star Claudia Cardinale plays herself.
Screening Times:
Twice Upon a Time in the West will be screened in Cannes on 14 May at 11:30 at Gray 4
The Singing Shoes will screen on 14 May at 09:30 at Gray 4
The Woman of My Life and Snow screen on 18 May at 09:30 and 15:30 at Gray 4
Family Relics screens on 19 May at 09:15 at Palais B
