Through her company Klas Films, Triffonova's long-time producer Rossitsa Valkanova was awarded with 163,000 EUR.

Shot in May, 2015 for 14 days, the film was mainly based at the Military Hospital in Sofia. According to Triffonova it's, "The story of a clinically healthy man who does not want to live anymore and a gravely ill woman, who cannot accept her impending death, is excellent for the actors.”

The cast includes names like Hristo Garbov (Triffonova’s husband) Sventlana Yancheva, Boyka Velkova and Angelina Savova. The DoP is Krum Rodriguez.

Earlier this year Triffonova told the Bulgarian media that, “The low budget format is very important for the Bulgarian film industry, because it opens the door for more films, especially to young people.” The theatrical distribution of Lift for Patients is planned for 2016.

Rossitsa Valkanova told FNE that this autumn Triffonova’s Hague Tribunal fiction The Prosecutor, the Defender, the Father and his Son (aka False Witness), produced byKLAS Film, will have its premiere. The film iscoproduced by Bulgaria, Sweden and the Netherlands and is financed by the Bulgarian National Film Center, Bulgarian National Television, the Swedish Film Institute, Film i Skäne, SVT and the Dutch Film Fund.
