The film will be distributed in Benelux by Contact, in Switzerland by trigon-film, in the Baltic states by A-One and in China by Lemon Tree, according to a press release.
Ága aka Nanook, which was the closing film in the Competition programme - Out of the competition at the 68th Berlin IFF, tells the story of an aged couple living in their igloo in the old Inuit way.
The film is a coproduction between Bulgaria’s Red Carpet, Germany’s 42Film, France’s Arizona Films Productions, the Bulgarian National Television and ZDF/Arte. It was supported by the Bulgarian National Film Center, French CNC and German MDM. The project is a winner of the Krzysztof Kieślowski ScripTeast award.
