DUBROVNIK: The HBO series Game of Thrones has begun filming season three in Dubrovnik, through Croatian services company Embassy Films (www.embassyfilms.com).
Shooting began on 27 September and will continue until 7 October 2012, using Dubrovnik for location shots on the fantasy film.
The HBO series also shot in Dubrovnik in September and October 2011, for its second season.
According to the Croatian Audiovisual Centre (www.havc.hr), the production of the third season of Game of Thrones applied for Croatia’s new film incentives programme, which came into effect on 1 January 2012.
