Motovun Film FestivalMOTOVUN: The French/Belgian war film Wakhun Front by Clement Cogitore won the main prize of the 18th Motovun Film Festival, which ran 25-28 July in the Croatian mountain town.
The jury, comprised of Slovak director Mira Fornay, Croatian actress Tihana Lazovic, and Canadian/Czech director Petr Lom, gave a special mention to actor Gunnar Jonsson for his performance in the Icelandic film Virgin Mountain directed by Dagur Kari.
Life with Herman H. Rott, an Estonian/Croatian/Danish coproduction, won the Motovun Shorts Award. The FIPRESCI Award went to the Spanish film Magical Girl directed by Carlos Vermut.
The Film New Europe (FNE) Association is the networking platform for film professionals in the CEE/SEE/Baltics region.
