There are 17 films in the national competition and 26 in the international competition, 12 Danish films in the Animation Workshop and 13 children’s animated films in Children Panorama. The animated films, that are no longer than 30-minutes, are under the theme Aspects of the World.
A parallel exhibition will showcase works created during a workshop in Paphos by six students under the guidance of two professors from the Department of Digital Arts of the National Superior Fine Arts School of Paris.
The jury which will decide the winners of the National and the International Competition is composed of Kaspar Jancis, Yiorgos Savvinides and Theodore Ushev .
A three-day workshop with Austrian experimental animation filmmaker Thomas Renoldner and Italian illustrator Federica Pagnucco will help participants exploring the possibilities of combining printmaking and animation.
The festival will end with a performance by the Cypriot band Sandy Brour.
