The project will air 6 June, 2014, the anniversary of the death of Jan Hus, one of the founders of the movement that spawned what's known in the US as the Moravian Church, according to Pennsylvania's Times Reporter (http://www.timesreporter.com/). Zeisberger founded mission towns for Christianized Indians in the region in the 1770s and lived until 87, dying in 1808 in Goshen.
Director, Lubos Hlavsa said many in the Czech Republic know little about the man, despite his reputation in the states, which prompted the effort to document his life.
The work follows up on Hlavsa's project in 2010 on Count Zinzendorf, chief architect of the Moravian mission in America, which went over well, leading to the new effort on David Zeisberger - Apostle Among Indians.
