FESTIVALS: The 6th Anifilm Ready to Kick Off

    TREBON: The 6th edition of Anifilm International Festival for Animated Films will take place from 5 to 10 May.

    The festival will once again present current trends, methods, technologies and animation techniques. In its programme there are several competition sections: International Competition of Animated Feature Films (Films for Grown-ups and Films for Children), International Competition of Animated Short Films, International Competition of Student Animated Films, International Competition of Music Videos and International Competition for Non-narrative, Experimental and Boundary Forms of Animation.

    The sidebar consists of Focus/Fokus, Taking Stock/Bilance and Animo TV, while the Special Programme consists of seminars and lectures, works in progress, workshops and even a Game Day for professionals in animation and electronic arts. The festival will present a Lifetime Achievement Award to the animator and director Vlasta Pospíšilová.

    Anifilm is organised by ANIFILM spol. s r. o. and Citizens’ Association for the Support of Animated Film (Občanské sdružení pro podporu animovaného filmu).
