Prague-based Stillking Films is line producer for the film. Matthew Stillman and David Minkowski of Stillking are coproducing. Underworld: Next Generation is a production of the L.A.-based Lakeshore Entertainment.

Kate Beckinsale once again stars in the film opposite British actor Theo James. The cast also includes Lara Pulver, Charles Dance and Brian Caspe. Anna Foerster is directing. The film will take advantage of the 20 percent Czech rebate.

The film is scheduled for an October 2016 release.
