Eurimages plans to distribute a total of four awards at four festivals. The award handed out in Karlovy Vary was for a project made outside the traditional filmmaking framework and showing international cooperation. The winning film is a Croatian/Slovenian/Italian/Serbian coproduction with supports from four film funds.
The industry programme of the festival also presented a post-production services award worth 100,000 EUR to the Serbian/Bulgarian/Macedonian coproduction Requiem for Mrs. J. directed by Bojan Vuletic. Producer Nenad Dukic who picked up the prize along with the director said, “We will finish the film in the best possible way,” and noted the quality of post-production services in Prague.
The film is produced by Dukic See Film Pro DOO along with Bulgarian coproducer Pavlina Jeleva and coproducer Tomi Salkovski. The films competing for the award were in final stages of production and in need of post-production support and international sales.
