A total of 62 countries, the largest international representation in the history of the world’s oldest children’s film festival, are represented in the festival, with 326 films being screened.
The festival will have a special focus on Sweden, including the 110th anniversary of the birth of the Pippi Longstocking author Astrid Lindgren.
This year the festival will introduce a new works in progress section to introduce new children’s films being produced in the Czech Republic. The industry section will also explore online streaming and virtual reality for the first time.
