Eye on Films, which presented its 2016 selection at Industry@Tallinn, reports that Glory by Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov (Abraxas Film) sold distribution rights to Starlet Media (Sweden), Urban distribution (France) and Menufilmid (Estonia).
KT Film & Media acquired the rights for Macedonia and Albania for Clean Hands by Tjebbo Penning, Pretenders by Vallo Toomla (Amrion), Pseudonym by Thierry Sebban and Go Home by Jihane Chouaib, while Arskino gained Bulgarian distribution for: Maiko: Dancing Child by Åse Svenheim Drivenes, Graduation by Cristian Mungiu, Summer Solstice by Michal Rogalski, This Ain’t California by Marten Persiel, One of Us by Stephan Richter, Those Who Jump by Moritz Siebert, Estephan Wagner, Abou Bakar Sidibe and Panama by Pavle Vuckovic (Collapse Films production), in partnership with Sofia International Film Festival.
The 20th Tallinn Black Nights FF had a total attendance of 80,000 while Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event welcomed a record number of 1,000 guests.
Black Nights together with sub-festivals Animation Film Festival Animated Dreams, Children’s and Youth Film Festival Just Film and International Short Film Festival Sleepwalkers, screened a total of 246 feature length films and animated films, and 367 short films and animations, from 72 countries.
The 21st edition of Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival will take place from 17 November to 3 December 2017.
