The workshop, aimed at micro-budget projects, will expose filmmakers to panels, mentoring, one-on-one sessions with experienced industry professionals and feedback based on the successes of Film London's Microwave training organization.
The Georgian filmmaking teams, chosen on the basis of their past track record, will meet their counterparts in September at BIAFF. Those chosen have shown they can produce a successful feature with a micro-budget and have completed screenplays in development.
The selected projects, representing a range of approaches and topics, are: The House of Others, written and directed by Rusudan Glurjidze and produced by Zurab Magalashvili; Interval, written by Vako Kirkitadze and produced by Nino Jincharadze and Nika Gugushvili; Sleeping Lessons, written by Aleksander Chkhaidze and Rusudan Pirveli and produced by Rusudan Pirveli; The Heat of the Cold Air, written by Irakli Solomanashvili and Beso Solomanashvili and produced by Vladimer Kacharava; and Tomorrow, written by Nestan Kvinikadze and Keti Machavariani and produced by Machavariani.
