Two films “Trench” (Sangari) by Amiran Dolidze and “Un-known soldier”- (Neizvestni Soldat) by Giga Liklikadze were included in the section of Focus on World Cinema. This year the section was dedicated to Japhar Panahi, the director arrested in Iran.
The GNFC supported the project with the subsidy of 95.000 GEL (€ 41.000).
Two Georgian full-length feature films “STREET DAYS” by Levan Koguashvili and “RENE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD” were screened in the Focus on World Cinema section.

Georgian Animated Films at International Animated Film Festivals
GNFC supports the development of animated films in Georgia and every year finances projects on competition basis.
4 animated films from MIFASI FILM’s project-“The Fairy-tales of World Nations” were selected for the13th International Festival of Animated Films “Animaevka” (Belarus). The festival will be held September 23-25.

“Why the moon doesn’t have a dress.” by Shadiman Chavchavadze.
“How the owl appeared” by Vasil Sakhvadze.
“Why the rabbit has long ears” by Gia Lapauri.
Another animated project “Vaccum” by Dato kiknavelidze supported by the GNFC has been chosen to participate in the International Film Festival “Anim’est 2010”, which will be held on October 8-17 in Bucharest, Romania.
