Dreaming the Path is a 90 minute film about a faith seeker’s journey on foot from Vilnius to Santiago de Compostela, taking him from winter through Poland, spring in France, and summer in Spain. The film is a feature length debut directed by Jokūbas Vilius Tūras, who also wrote the script. It was produced by Rasa Miškinytė for Era Film (www.erafilm.lt).

Father directed and scripted by Marat Sargsyan is a 60 minute documentary about one of the most interesting criminals in Lithuania, a robber and plane hijacker who spent 20 years in international prisons and at age 71 has a large and loving family of ten children and two grandchildren. The film was produced by Dagnė Vildžiūnaitė and Jonas Špokas.

Igrushki is a 60 minute documentary directed and written by Lina Lužytė about a town in Belarus whose only means of income is making stuffed animal toys to sell to people who pass through the town by train. The film was produced by Dagnė Vildžiūnaitė.

Second Class is a 53 minute Lithuanian/Swedish coproduction directed by Marta Dauliūtė and produced by Elisabeth Marjanović Cronvall. The documentary looks at the lives of Lithuanian migrant men working in Sweden.

The festival will also screen 13 short films from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in the New Baltic Cinema section. The special Focus on Istvan Szabo will present five of the Hungarian director’s films, including his 1981 Oscar winning film Mephisto.
