John Malkovich is set to star in Siberian Education which is scheduled to begin filming in Lithuania at the end of August.
According to STV, Malkovich will play the grandfather in a group of criminals who have been exiled to the Transnistria region located between Moldova and the Ukraine.
Starring opposite him isLithuanian actor Arnas Fedaravicius.
The film, based on the book of the same name by Nicolai Lilin, is set in Russia from 1985-1995. It will be directed by Italy'sGabriele Salvatores.
