God Exists, Her Name is Petrunija / Gospod postoi, imeto i' e Petrunija is a simple, almost comical story, that shows the absurdities of the world we live in, focusing on a day in the life of Petrunija, a single, unemployed, 31-year-old woman, who decides to do the unthinkable and intervene in the world of men.
The film is a coproduction between Macedonia’s Sisters and Brother Mitevski Production, Belgium’s Entre Chien et Loup, Slovenia’s Vertigo, Croatia’s Spiritus Movens and France’s Deuxième Ligne Films.
The Macedonian Film Agency , the Belgium Film and Tax Shelter, the Slovenian Film Center, the Croatian Audiovisual Centre and Eurimages supported the project. Pyramide International is handling the sales.
Agnieszka Holland’s Mr. Jones follows the Welsh investigative journalist Gareth Jones as he travels deep into the Soviet Union in the 30s. This true story inspired George Orwell to write Animal Farm.
The film stars James Norton, Vanessa Kirby and Peter Sarsgaard, and it is a coproduction between Poland’s Film Produkcja, Studio Orka and Mandants, UK’s Crab Apple Films and Ukraine’s FILM.UA Group.
The project was supported by the Polish Film Institute, Poland’s Krakowskie Biuro Festiwalowe and the Ukrainian State Agency.
