The script, penned by Sasho Kokalanov and Dejan Dukovski, tells the story of seasoned journalist Bodan as he receives a compromising video exposing a corrupt politician. Despite relentless efforts by the politician's fixer, Shute, to buy his silence, Bodan insists on a direct confrontation. Along his journey, he crosses paths with Eva, a defiant young woman challenging the conservative societal norms, and Sofia, his determined younger colleague, who is equally eager to reveal the truth.
Janićijević describes the film as a political thriller designed to be visually striking, capturing the intense tension and struggles of the main characters as they pursue justice and truth in service of the public interest.
“As the professional and personal stories of Bodan and Sofia unfold, the intense action, happening in parallel within just 24 hours, will immerse viewers into the characters' private chaos as they seek justice in a morally ambiguous world”, said Janićijević in a statement.
The film cast is led by Nikola Ristanovski and Darja Rizova, with central roles played by Sashko Kocev and Oliver Mitkovski.
Sasho Peshev is producing through Macedonian Novo Makedonsko Video and New Moment, with a support of 350,000 EUR / 21.5 m MKD from the North Macedonia Film Agency. Additionally, the project has applied for a coproduction in Serbia and is currently awaiting the results.
The shooting started on 22 May 2024 and is scheduled to wrap by the end of June 2024, with the premiere set for the autumn of 2024.
