The Mummy (1999)VALLETTA: Malta media reports that Tom Cruise spent the 12-14 February 2016 week-end in Malta scouting locations for his 2017 film The Mummy.
The film is set in the Iraqi desert, where a Navy Seal uncovers an ancient tomb in a bunker. Cruise was seen scouting at Fort St Elmo located on the coastline of Valletta.
The film will likely film in Malta in summer. Alex Kurtzman directs and Sofia Boutella is signed to costar.
