The movie focuses on a country boy who tries to make it big but fails and returns to his poor village where he is known as ‘the Prince'. Gossip about his ‘heritage' has separated him from his peers but now defeat and misery brings him closer. Although his ambitions go far beyond stagnant village life, it is this environment that offers him the sense of security and familiarity. Black and white cinematography by Jacek Petrycki together with Andrzej Barański's insightful directing create a story about universal fears, frustrations, hopes and desires that are presented in a heart-moving, and often brutal way but with a youthful sense of freedom.

"Major Power" tells the story of four monks living in a decaying monastery, deep in the countryside. To their surprise, a hovel on a neighboring hill is renovated and turned into a Buddhist meditation center. All of this is a terrible shock to the monks, who so far have been leading a quiet and peaceful life. And despite the beginnings of a conflict resembling a guerrilla war between two hostile armies, surprisingly, those two worlds start to intermingle.

The "Into Deep Water" series gives us a glimpse into the lives of committed social workers. Although they all have moments of doubt they try to approach each problem, even seemingly lost causes, with optimism and faith. Through the eye of the camera, we follow the dramas of people that need professional advice and support. For those who have already lost all hope, social workers are the last resort, the only chance to resolve their tragic situation.

A daughter, found after years of search, rebellion, despair, great expectations, mad, destructive and forbidden love, jealousy, hatred and wounded hearts are for our protagonists just like Pandora's box filled with emotions. Will their world remain the same or will the golden cage in which our heroes live break down under the pressure of emotions?
