Other members of the SFP Board are Juliusz Machulski, Marcin
Pieczonka, Janusz Chodnikiewicz, Allan Starski, Witold Giersz,
Janusz Kijowski, Witold Adamek, Dorota Lamparska and Filip Bajon.
Their deputies will be Jacek Bławut, Michał Kwieciński, Marek
Drążewski, Piotr Śliwiński, Ewa Sobolewska, Jerzy Kucia and Krzysztof
Tchórzewski.
The Polish Filmmakers Association was created in 1996 and encompasses
Polish directors, screenwriters, animators, film critics and other film
professionals. The main goal of SFP is to connect and unify the Polish film
industry, facilitate co-operation between film professionals,
and educate young filmmakers through programs such as the "30 Minutes" series of productions and scholarships. SFP's major accomplishments have been the creation of the
new cinematography bill in Poland and the establishment of the Polish Film
Institute (www.pisf.pl) with special funds to support Polish film production.
Polish Filmmakers Association Re-elects Bromski
By Katarzyna Grynienko{mosimage}Jacek Bromski was re-elected as the president of the Polish Filmmakers Association(SFP, www.sfp.org.pl) at the organization's general assembly meeting. Bromski has served in the position since 1996 and has been a member of the Cinematography Committee since 1992. Bromski heads Zebra Film Studio (www.zebrafilm.pl), one of the most active Polish production companies. Popular for his box office hit comedies, he recently finished his new crime drama Entanglement (2011).
