The script for Wszystko przed nami (Everything Is Ahead of Us) by Ilona Łepkowska, one of Poland's leading TV screenwriter/producers, (Clan and L For Love), was chosen from 50 entrants in a special competition held by TVP.

Everything Is Ahead of Us is the story about young adults who return to Poland after several years of working abroad in Italy. They decide to transform a tenement house in the center of Lublin into a bar, a modern hotel and a law firm.

"It is a show about a certain group of people who come back to Poland and try to find themselves, create their life from the start. This is currently happening often in real life, because a lot of people decide to come back after emigrating, due to several reasons," Piotr Wereśniak, the director of the series, told FNE.

The shoot for the series launched on 13 July 2012 in Lublin. "The production will be shot both in Lublin and in Milan, Italy, but most of the principal photography will be made at indoor studios in Warsaw. We will try to visit Lublin regularly to shoot the outdoor scenes," Wereśniak told FNE.

The city of Lublin is financially supporting this project. "We are negotiating the last parts of the contract for this production, where the city of Lublin will be showcased. This year we are assigning 300,000 PLN (EUR 71,000) of the city's film fund to this production", Katarzyna Mieczkowska-Czerniak, the spokesperson of the mayor of Lublin said in an official statement. The city of Lublin is planning to support the series in 2013 as well.

The series is produced by Ilona Łepkowska and Tomasz Lampka. The cast includes Gabriela Muskała, Piotr Nowak, Mariusz Bonaszewski, Radosław Pazura, Małgorzata Majerska, and Michał Malinowski. TVP1 is planning to air the new show four times a week starting in September 2012.
