The film is based on the life of colonel Ryszard Kukliński, one of the most controversial characters in Polish history, and set in
1970's when Kukliński passed top secret Warsaw Pact documents to the CIA. The act was considered a significant contribution to keeping peace alive in Western Europe. Marcin Dorociński plays the master spy, accompanied by Maja Ostaszewska, Ireneusz Czop and Zbigniew Zamachowski.
The film is produced by Scorpio Studio and co-produced by ITI Cinema and Orange Polska. The budget is 3.5 million USD and the film received financial support from the Polish Film Institute. It will be distributed by ITI Cinema with a premiere planned for 7 February.

Photographer
Photographer follows a crime investigation in Moscow, where a serial killer is at large. His trademark is a photo left at the scene of the crime. The investigators link the case to a series of events in a Polish town in the 1970's in a drama useing flashbacks to the life of Soviet Union soldiers stationed in the town.
The plot is based partly on a true story the director spotted on Russian television, Krzystek told FNE, about a killer who left numbers next to bodies, as police photographers do. This son of a cleaning lady at the Moscow court collected crime photos his mother was pilfering from work. A similar story in Legnica, in the Soviet part of the city, leading to a suicide, completed the picture, he said. "I saw his suicide when I was a child just a bit older than Kola S."
Photographer will be in Russian and Polish, as was the director's previous work, Little Moscow, and it shifts back and forth in time. The film aims to "show the truth of the issues raised in the screenplay" said Krzystek. "The past ticks like a time bomb. It's like an unlocked grenade thrown into our memory."
The film is produced by Yes To Film with a budget of 9 million PLN (2.1 m EUR) and it received financial support from the Polish Film Institute. Photographer was one of the winning projects in the Lower Silesia Film Contest and will receive 984,000 PLN of co-production funding from the Lower Silesia Film Center.

The Performer
The story draws on the bio of an original and unconventional contemporary artist, Oskar Dawicki, playing himself. The film explores the questions of fame and identity in the art world, Ronduda told FNE. "The most interesting directing challenge for me while shooting The Performer was trying to closely connect the performance art with the art of acting, and combining documentary filmmaking with a fictional narrative."
The directors pushed for fresh approach to storytelling the film, in which Dawicki's performances play a key role, building excitement and constructing the narrative. The film resembles an exhibition of contemporary performance art, "for which the best medium for presentation is film, not a museum gallery," Ronduda addes. "I'm glad that I could once again work with Oskar Dawicki - an artist who has truly combined performance art with everyday life, fiction with truth, defeat with victory."
The film is produced by Wajda Studio (www.wajdastudio.pl) in coproduction with Futro Film , Heliograf, Film Factory and Artcore. The Performer received financing from the Polish Film Institute, Canal+ and Art Stations Foundation. The budget is 1.2 m PLN (300,000 EUR).
