The Man Who Made Angels Fly
The Man Who Made Angels Fly follows the extraordinary life and craft of Michael Meshke, a masterful creator of marionettes. The artist, facing his own death, let Wiktoria Szymańska to accompany him on his last magical journey. "Michael Meschke is one of these people; he is one of the greatest living marionette masters in the world," the director told FNE. "Now he is in his twilight years and this moment in Michael’s life is crucial to the film. This is the twist of his life, when he is going to separate from some of his marionettes, which he had kept in boxes for years…That’s why I immediately started a film about this man with all his memories, creations and sorrows of the past, secrets and forgotten dreams."
The film was produced by UK company Luna W and under producer Estelle Robin. World sales rights are not yet sold.

Papusza
Papusza, a lyrical drama directed by the award-winning Krauze couple, chronicles the life of the first widely published female Roma poet, who faced censure by her native Gypsy community, whose members considered her a traitor to the culture. The film considers her whole life story - including the arranged marriage agreed to when she was a child, life in a camp before and after the WWII and finally her urban life in communist Poland after she was discovered by a poet Jerzy Ficowski.
"Papusza was a Roma girl, born in a carriage, an autodidact, who in the end was mentioned in the world‘s encyclopedias and had her work translated into many languages," said the directors in a joint statement. "She was also named as one of the 60 most important women in Polish history. Isn't this an astonishing destiny worth telling in an epic film? For us, it was also an opportunity to introduce the world of the Romas and to give it back its dignity. With his monograph, Jerzy Ficowski has shed a new light on Roma people and contributed to a better understanding of that group."
The film was produced by Lambros Ziotas of Argomedia sp. z o.o. in co-prouction with Telewizja Polska S.A. (www.tvp.pl), Canal+ Polska (www.canalplus.pl), Studio Filmowe KADR (http://www.sfkadr.com/). The film premiered in June at the Karlovy Vary fest. World sales are by New Europe Film Sales.

Six Degrees
Six Degrees is a film experiment exploring the veracity of the social theory that suggests everyone in the world is within at most six layers of separation from everyone else. The crew randomly chose two protagonists, Martyna from Warsaw, Poland and Marco Antonio, a farmer from a village in Mexico, and created a road movie based on the way to connect the two.
"Through Six Degrees we want to touch deeper values which are reflected in people’s lives," director Bartosz Dombrowski told FNE. "In this ever shrinking world are we really closer to each other? Or maybe we are so preoccupied with our own affairs, work, problems that we do not notice the people around us? Do we care about our friendships and relations? Six Degrees is the chance to create a modern road movie on global scale."
