The cast includes  Marta Nieradkiewicz, Mateusz Banasiuk, Katarzyna Herman, Bartosz Gelner. The director of photography is Jakub Kijowski, and the music score is composed by Leszek Możdżer.

Wasilewski was the second director for 33 Scenes from Life by Małgorzata Szumowska (www.pandorafilm.com). He made his debut with a highly praised drama In the Bedroom starring Katarzyna Herman, in which he also explored the issues of forming relationships and looking for identity. "The characters in Floating Scrapers are not only the young people, but also another generation - their parents," the director told FNE. "Each of them is a separate individual battling for themselves. They are learning how to live with another human being, despite the fears and social inhibitions."

The film was produced by Alter Ego Pictures with a budget of 1.5 million PLN (367,000 EUR) in co-production with Superkrak, Studio Q, SoundPlace, Trailer & More SC, Muzyczne Studio Produkcyjne SPOT and Natalia Siwicka. The company will also distribute the picture and the Polish premiere is set for 15 November 2013. International sales  are managed by Films Boutique.
