One Way Ticket to the Moon is set in the year when Neil Armstrong landed on the moon.The script follows a road trip taken by two brothers - the younger getting ready to join the army and the older trying to prepare him for the rough life ahead. While they travel the country they meet old friends an make new acquaintances, resulting in a tragicomic story set in the reality of the communist People's Republic of Poland.
The brothers are played by Filip Pawiak, making his debut, and Mateusz Kościukiewicz, one of the leading names in the new generation of Polish actors, highly praised for for his work in All That I Love and Mother Teresa Of Cats. They will be accompanied by Krzysztof Stroiński and Bożena Adamek. The director of photography is Michał Englert, known locally and internationally for his work in All That I Love, Elles and 33 Scenes From Life.
The film was shot during July and August 2012 on locations in Kazimierz Dolny, Rabka, Mszana Dolna, Kraków, Świnoujście and Warsaw. Moon co-produced by Telewizja Polska, Telekomunikacja Polska, Pomerania Film - Western Pomeranian Film Fund, Lightcraft and ZEBRA Film Studio with the support of the Polish Film Festival.
Bromski, a director, screenwriter and producer is a popular and internationally recognized film professional (www.jacekbromski.pl). Since 1998 he's been president of the Polish Filmmakers Association. His most well known works include It's Me, The Thief, Kids And Children and the box office hit comedy trilogy focusing on life in a small provincial community Snug As A Bug In a Rug, God's Little Garden and God's Little Village.
