Kościukiewicz’s credits include some of the most prominent Polish films of the past four years, including the 2013 film In The Name Of... by Małgośka Szumowska and produced by MD4. He received a best actor award at the Karlovy Vary IFF in 2010 and a Polish Eagle as discovery of the year in 2011. In explaining their selection, the jury pointed to his intense presence and emotional range.

Cosmina Stratan is a film newcomer, after a professional career as a print and TV journalist. She made her film debut in Cristian Mungiu’s Beyond the Hills produced by Mobra Films, winning the best actress prize at Cannes in 2012. The EFP jury praised the power of her emotion in a modulated performance.

The ten actors will be presented at the Berlinale during three days of events scheduled for 8-10 February 2014.
