The selection, announced by artistic director Michal Oleszczyk, includes three debut films. Among the more established directors presenting films in competition are Jan Komasa, director of the 2011 film Suicide Room; Jerzy Stuhr, presenting Citizen starring his son; Wojciech Smarzowski whose 2011 film Rose won the best film award at Gdynia that year; and Lech Majewski whose last film was the 2011 Bruegel based The Mill and the Cross.
