German broadcaster ZDF has commissioned the drama to celebrate the 70th anniversary of freeing the prisoners of Auschwitz. Titled Wege nach Auschwitz... uberleben war nich vorgesehen (Roads To Auschwitz...Staying Alive Was Not An Option) the film is based on a script written by Dirk Kämper. The film will be a fusion of archive materials, and feature scenes shot in Wrocław. The budget of the project has not yet been revealed.

The shoot in Wrocław is organized by Polish company Tempus Film, The crew also includes Polish film professionals. Marek Warszewski is the set designer for the project and Małgorzata Zacharska is the costume deigner. The DoP is Jan Prillwitz.

The movie will premiere on German ZDF in January 2015. The Polish premiere date has not yet been set.
