iTVN EXTRA started broadcasting on 4 February 2015 in co-operation with DISH Network in USA and Wilhelm.tel in Germany, and it will feature entertainment, lifestyle and news content, as well as programmes for children and films.
The channel is available in the USA and Europe with plans for a full international reach. "The launch of the iTVN Extra channel proves that iTVN is focused on building a strong digital brand and reinforcing the image of the iTVN channel as a first choice channel for Polish community living abroad," Christian Anting, TVN’s Strategy Director, told FNE.
Anting also said that the company is planning to launch two new local thematic channels this spring: TVN Fabuła directed to educated women living in big cities and TVN Active or Sportive (tba) designed for active youth.
TVN's income was 381,816,303 EUR/ 1.6 mld PLN in 2014, which is a 3.6 % increase in comparison to 2013, while the nett income of the TVN Group was 46,533,862 EUR/ 195 m PLN in 2014.
