PRODUCTION: Jan P. Matuszyński Preps a Biopic on Painter Zdzisław Beksiński

WARSAW: Ostatnia Rodzina/Last Family, Jan P. Matuszyński’s debut feature will focus on the relationship between the painter Zdzisław Beksiński and his son Tomasz Beksiński, a renowned music journalist and translator, who both passed away tragically.

Robert Bolesto wrote the script and Aurum Film is producing. The budget is 1.3 m EUR / 5.8m PLN with approximately 720,000 EUR/ 3m PLN of financing from the Polish Film Institute already in place.

Shooting dates and cast have not been announced yet. Kacper Fertacz (Hardcore Disco, Głęboki OFF) is the DoP. The premiere is planned for 2016.

Jan P. Matuszyński is most recognized for his documentary Deep Love (Cor Leonis Production).
