Thirty short films will be screened as part of the Shortcut competition, the most popular section of Tofifest. In 2016, the selection committee received 1,790 submissions from 60 countries for the Shortcut competition.
The main topic of this year’s edition of the festival is the rebellion of women and their struggle for human dignity with reference to Thelma & Louise by Ridley Scott, which has its 25th anniversary in 2016. The Golden Angels of Tofifest 2016 will go to Allan Starski, Marek Kondrat and Andrzej Seweryn.
