The Lure tells the story of two mermaids, who show up in the middle of the Warsaw dancing scene of the 80's. They join a music band and become an overnight success. Lost in exciting new experiences, they forget who they are, but they won’t escape their sinister nature.

The film is produced by Wytwórnia Filmów Dokumentalnych i Fabularnych, WFDiF in coproduction with Platige Image and Telewizja Polska – Agencja Produkcji Telewizyjnej i Filmowej. The budget was 1.38m EUR / 5.8 m PLN of which 560,000 EUR / 2.5 m PLN came from the Polish Film Institute.

Kino Świat released the film in Polish cinemas on 25 December 2016.
