Poland Receives Gift of Pre-WWII Films

By

WARSAW: Poland’s National Film Archives has received a collection of pre-WWII films from London’s Sikorski Museum and the Polish Institute. The rare films date to the 1930’s and 1940’s

According to Radio Poland, the collection includes films that have not been seen in Poland since their original releases.

The films had been at the Polish Consulate in London, but were transferred to the museum when the communist government came to power. The archives plans to restore and digitalise the collection of 16 and 32 mm films, which contain performances by leading stars of the era.
