The Pack was first broadcast in 2014, created by Wiktor Piatkowski. It won the Polish Eagle for best series for its second season, which was in 2017. Each of its first two seasons consisted of six parts. The series is also known as The Border.
The story began after a bombing attack which killed friends of the story’s central character, a captain in the Border Guard. He works to solve the mystery behind the attack. The third season begins with the discovery of a horrendous crime scene when two migrant workers are detained trying to flee Poland for the Ukraine.
The Pack is directed by Olga Chajdas and Kasia Adamik, and written by Piotr Szymanek, Katarzyna Tybinka and Marta Szymanek. The series is produced in partnership with ATM Grupa.
The series is one of three current HBO series produced in Central Europe, along with two Romanian series: Tuff Money and Umbre III.
The Pack will be dubbed or subtitled into the national languages in each territory. In Central Europe, HBO is available in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. It also operates in Spain, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark.
