The creators of the website, www.tvseriale.pl, claim their website only uploads episodes that are already aired, and that both TVP and private broadcaster Polsat gave them permission, the daily Rzeczpospolita reported.

TVP press spokeswoman Aneta Wrona said no such permission was issued and the Polsat spokeswoman, Katarzyna Wyszomirska, said the station wasn't even approached with any such request, the paper said.

TVP filed suit on Nov. 7 after the owners of the website failed to remove the content in question from their portal by Oct. 25. A hearing is expected in about two weeks.
