TVP's Venice Awarded in Cleveland

    WARSAW: Venice by Polish director Jan Jakub Kolski has been honored with the Special Jury Mention for Cinematography by Arthur Reinhartd at the 35th Cleveland International Film Festival.

    The latest Kolski film, produced by Akson Studio (www.akson-studio.pl) and TVP (www.tvp.pl), has already gained considerable interest abroad (Best Artistic Contribution Prize at the Montreal World Film Festival 2010) as well as in Poland (Grand Prix of the Camerimage Film Festival 2010, www.pluscamerimage.pl, and several prizes at the Gdynia Polish Film Festival, pl.fpff.pl).

    Venice is a story about growing up and hoping for deliverance through dreams, and about rebellion against the surrounding reality.
