The Norwegian Film Institute is increasing funds for coproduction to 2.1 m EUR in 2013, an increase of some 30 percent. This year Norway is represented by five international coproductions at the Berlinale as a result of its growing emphasis on coproductions. In addition, Norway has a smaller fund for coproduction with developing countries from the south. Information on the Norwegian South Film Fund is available at www.filmfrasor.no/sorfond.
EAVE will continue to encourage coproductions between European countries and Asia through its Ties the Bind – Asia Europe Producers Workshop. The two-part workshop takes place in Italy in April and South Korea in October. The application process is open until 25 February 2013. Information on the workshop is available at www.tiesthatbind.eu or www.eave.org.
