The election took place during the 132nd meeting held in Vilnius (Lithuania) on 15-17 October 2013.

Following the election, Plog said: “I would like to thank the Board of Management to have once again renewed its trust in me. This work, which brings together 36 European member states so different and alike at the same time, is fascinating. Together we achieve significant results which means, in our industry, European films, both remarkable and moving and which contribute to the identity of each of the member states and our continent.”
