COTTBUS: Four films have been selected for the first presentation of Works in Progress at the 19th edition of connecting cottbus, which takes place 9 – 10 November 2017.
The films will be presented at the coproduction market, competing for a 35,000 EUR coco WIP Award, and an in-kind prize sponsored by German post-production house D-FACTO MOTION.
The selection was made from a total of 50 films submitted from 25 countries. Two films come from Germany, one from the Ukraine, and Poland is represented by Speedway directed by Dorota Kędzierzawska| and produced by Arthur Reinhart for Kid Film.
The Film New Europe (FNE) Association is the networking platform for film professionals in the CEE/SEE/Baltics region. The webportal and FNE newswire was chosen as the MAIN TOOL to achieve the network’s objectives of the sharing of know how, visibility of regional cultural diversity and finally the VOICE of the region.
FNE’s objectives include VISIBILITY for the region and AUDIENCES for films by providing a special focus on the region.
