BRUSSELS: UNIC reports an increase in box office in all CEE countries except Slovenia and the Czech Republic in its 2017 report.
Bosnia & Herzegovina showed the most impressive growth, up 27% at 5.7 M BAM. Slovakia’s box office grew 18.9%, to 34.5 M EUR.
Estonia, with 10% growth, also has one of the highest per capita admissions, at 2.7 cinema visits per person. Only France has a higher rate of attendance across all of Europe.
Poland has the share of attendance at domestic films, at 23.2%, and saw 10.8% growth in box office, at 1,072 M PLN.
